I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) — ranked among the top 3.5% of universities worldwide (CWUR 2026) —, Florianópolis, Brazil. My research lies at the interface of computational solid mechanics and biomechanics, with a focus on multiscale methods, poromechanics under large deformations, and the mechanical behavior of soft biological tissues and composite materials.

I am currently affiliated with the GRANTE and LEBm research groups at UFSC, where I collaborate on projects involving finite element modeling, constitutive modeling, and orthopedic biomechanics.

I am in the process of building my own research group and am actively looking for motivated undergraduate, M.Sc., and Ph.D. students interested in computational mechanics and biomechanics. Feel free to reach out if you are interested in joining.
